3 Ways I Keep Myself Motivated and Moving Forward This Fall

You are doing an amazing job this fall. Seriously, even if you are doing half of what you usually do, it's enough. I don't know about you, but I have trouble keeping it all straight, so I implemented a plan to make my weeks flow better.
Following a Rejuvenation Routine. Most years I have a loose routine and do what I can to integrate moments of rejuvenation. If I had a busy day, I skipped the time to unwind. For my own sanity, I've changed that up a bit and do Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm and take walks the other days of the week. Sometimes my walk might only be 15 minutes, but I'm out there breathing in the fresh air and clearing my mind. Doing something rejuvenating for myself everyday is critical for my well being!
Integrating Fun Into the Week. Every week I try to find one fall activity to do. It could be carving pumpkins, decorating for autumn, making pumpkin chocolate chip waffles, or chasing my family through a corn maze. It could be sitting outside and feeling the sun on my face or meeting a friend for a physically distant chat at a park with my dog. Whatever you choose, make sure you have some things to look forward to. When the week feels heavy, think about some fun plans around the corner.
Creating a Vision. I created a vision board many years ago and then found it in a dusty corner of my basement. When I took a closer look, I realized that most of what I complied on this board, came true...kayaking, becoming a Yoga teacher, becoming a coach, publishing a veggie cookbook, wow! I remember looking at this vision board everyday and believe that what we focus our attention on comes true. What do you want to bring into your life? Where are you going next? Don't let the pandemic stop you! Journal about next steps on your path, and then envision it on a poster board, as a list on your computer, as sticky notes in your work area, or even in your mind.
